The Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Starkville Police Department officer for an incident possibly involving sexually-inappropriate text messages.
OCSD investigator Lt. Brett Watson said because it is an ongoing investigation, further details cannot be released at this time. The identity of the officer has not been made public.
“We were asked to look into it by the Starkville Police Department,” Watson said.
Watson said any questions relating to the particular officer or department need to be directed to the Starkville Police Department.
When contacted, the Starkville Police Department declined to comment on the incident.
