Meet Simon, an 8 year old Siamese mix. In early February, Simon was surrendered to the Starkville Animal Shelter along with several of his offspring, to no fault of their own. Simon is a very affectionate and playful cat. His hobbies include playing with toys and being brushed by volunteers. Simon loves to cuddle and would make a "purrrfect" lap cat! What makes Simon extra special is that he is FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) positive. Many cats with FIV live normal lives. They just require medical attention if they seem a little under the weather or become ill. FIV cats are positively adoptable - please consider adopting! Like all pets at the shelter, Simon will be up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped prior to being adopted.
Simon is just one of the many cats that are looking for their forever home at the Oktibbeha County Humane Society. If you are looking to add a new four-legged member to your family, come visit the Oktibbeha County Humane Society's Starkville Animal Shelter located at 510 Industrial Park Road in Starkville. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11-5:30. Please visit www.ochsms.org or call 662-338-9093 for more information about OCHS and its programs.
