Starkville will soon see a new fitness center and a discount retail store move into the Village Mall shopping center on Highway 12—the former site of Bulldog Lanes.
Club 24 Starkville—part of The Club fitness center—will open in December, according to The Club's Facebook page. Bargain Hunt will move into the shopping center, city community development officials said Thursday.
The 24-hour gym currently has locations in Flowood, Hernando, Jackson, Madison, Meridian and Ridgeland.
It is unclear when the Bargain Hunt will open, and no timeline could be confirmed Thursday. There are currently 53 locations, including Tupelo.
The store "enables our consumers to buy quality brand name merchandise well below normal retail pricing," according to Bargain Hunt's website.
An existing business—Total Look beauty supply—will move from 400 Highway 12 East to 408 Highway 12 East in the shopping center.
