Starkville police arrested a local man Thursday on a cyberstalking warrant, charging him with threatening a police officer's life on social media.
Christopher Lindsey, 41, of Starkville, had made “multiple threats” against a Starkville police officer that same day, according to a news release from Cpl. Brandon Lovelady, SPD public information officer. Lindsey was out on bond from charges of simple assault on an officer, DUI, and driving on a suspended license.
The Starkville police SWAT team and U.S. Marshals' Task Force arrested Lindsey on the felony warrant at his North Montgomery Street apartment, according to the news release, which went out at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
“Lindsey was arrested without incident,” Lovelady said, adding that Lindsey was taken to Oktibbeha County Jail “in good condition.”
