Brooksville Gardens armed robbery arrest made

Starkville police arrested a man Friday following a report of an armed robbery in Brooksville Gardens Wednesday.

Authorities from SPD and the U.S. Marshals Task Force found and arrested Edward Lamar Ware, 30, of Starkville in an apartment on Pilcher Street. Ware locked himself in the apartment for a short period of time, and was taken into custody without incident, SPD confirmed.

Officers issued a warrant for Ware's arrest on Thursday.

Ware was transported to the county jail with a bond of $25,000. He will appear in Starkville Municipal Court at 6 p.m., July 25.
