Another stage in deciding the possible sale or lease of OCH Regional Medical Center ends Monday, with the closure of the request for proposals process issued by the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors last month.
The move is the next step in the hospital's assessment process which supervisors previously approved. The board and OCH officials will discuss all companies that applied, and narrow down the field to allow for detailed presentations from selected firms before a single firm is chosen.
Since proposals won't be opened until July 18, the board won't discuss the issue at the meeting set for 5:30 p.m. that same day. Once a firm is selected, it's expected the assessment should wrap up in 60 to 90 days.
