STARKVILLE, MS
Officials say a 91-year-old man was pronounced dead sometime Saturday after suffering a heart attack near Davis Wade Stadium.
Mississippi State University Chief Communications Officer Sid Salter confirmed the man, who was accompanied by his son, went into cardiac arrest in the Junction near Gate A some time before kickoff of the Mississippi State football game against Texas A&M.
The man was transported to OCH Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt said the identity of the man would be released in the coming hours.
