Three people were killed in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 12 Thursday night, the Mississippi Highway Patrol has confirmed.
The wreck occurred just east of Sturgis near Crossgates Road at approximately 8:40 p.m., according to an MHP news release.
The three victims were traveling east on Highway 12 in a 2007 Nissan Quest when the van veered off the right side of the roadway and rolled over onto its passenger side. Oktibbeha County Deputy Coroner Jimmy Miller pronounced all three of the vehicle’s passengers dead on the scene.
The accident remains under investigation by MHP Troop G. The three victims have not been identified by MHP.
