Last week Cadence Bank announced that Jennifer Cougle has joined the bank’s local advisory board for Starkville.

I am thrilled to join the outstanding members of our community who currently serve on the advisory board.”
Cougle is joining current advisory board members: Jeff Adkerson, Nelle Cohen, Dr. Wesley Ferguson, Jack Forbus, Dr. John Forde, William Hilbun, Pat Lane, Dr. Andrew Martin, Markeeta Outlaw, Dr. Mimmo Parisi, Dr. Allison Pearson, Jeff Read, Dr. Roy Ruby, Dr. David Shaw and Sallie Whiteside.

The bank’s advisory board is led by Abraham and Jerry Toney, Mississippi bank president and senior financial consultant.
According to Toney, Cougle’s professional experience and involvement in the community will be an asset to the board.
"Jennifer is a successful business owner and young professional who brings a unique perspective to our board," Toney said. "This will be invaluable as we develop fresh ideas that can benefit our clients and help Cadence continue to support the health and growth of the Golden Triangle."
Cougle currently serves as the lead pharmacist at BJ’s Family Pharmacy in Starkville, which she co-owns with her husband, BJ. She is certified in Medication Therapy Management and Immunizations and is a member of Mississippi Independent Pharmacy Association.
Prior to owning her own pharmacy, Cougle served as the pharmacy manager at Walgreens in Vestavia Hills, Ala., and worked 10 years as a pharmacist at Mississippi State University’s Student Health Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University and received her bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi.
Cougle currently serves as president of Starkville Academy Patron’s Association and teaches Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Starkville, which she attends with her husband, BJ, and their two daughters, Alex and Mary Kenway.
“Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our Advisory Board and will provide valuable insight into our planning process. She understands the local business climate and will be our eyes and ears in the community to help us better serve our clients and meet their needs. Jennifer is a great addition to our team,” Abraham said.
