A Starkville woman is behind bars after stealing and selling several electronic items off the line at a UPS terminal in Columbus.

Deputies with the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office charged 20-year-old Bralan Ashanti Logen with one count of embezzlement on Wednesday after the Starkville native was accused of stealing multiple iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, an Apple iPad and headphones from the establishment and selling them online.

Chief Deputy Marc Miley told the Starkville Daily News Logen was a recently hired UPS employee and was working on the line loading trucks and stole the items, before placing them on a website and selling them.

“Most all of the property has been recovered,” Miley said.

Miley then said Logen was still in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center on Thursday afternoon awaiting a bond hearing.

Logan’s next court date has not been set.
