Court documents have shed light on details of an alleged assault in the Cotton District on May 1.
Two arrests were made earlier this week in connection with the incident on Maxwell Street in Starkville.
Officers arrested Terry Lamont Hill, 42, of West Point on May 2, and Jerry Lee Talley, 29, of McCool on May 4 in connection with the alleged assault.
Affidavits from investigators claim Hill and Talley assaulted a man and woman in the Cotton District. Investigators allege Hill and Talley tied up, beat and confined the unidentified male victim, and sexually assaulted the unidentified female victim.
The male victim was struck multiple times before being bound with shoelaces and placed in a closet, documents show. The victim's iPhone was also stolen in the assault, investigators claim.
Both Hill and Talley assaulted the female victim without her consent, court documents show.
Hill was charged by the Starkville Police Department with aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape and robbery. Talley was also charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, rape and robbery.
The pair could face up to life in prison for the rape and kidnapping charges, while facing 15 years for robbery and 20 years for aggravated assault, according to affidavits.
Hill and Talley remain in custody. Bond was set at $1.1 million each for the pair.
Talley is due in Starkville Municipal Court on June 6.
