Multiple elected officials in Oktibbeha County and the surrounding area missed the May 1 deadline to file 2015 statements of economic interest with the state.

Three state lawmakers, three Starkville aldermen and three county supervisors along with three other county officials missed the date set by the Mississippi Ethics Commission to release a snapshot of each officials' economic dealings, ranging from business earnings to company ownership, according to the MEC's website.

All state officials must submit the form every year prior to or on May 1. Appointed officials must file within 30 days of taking office.

Officials who missed the deadline could be fined up to $10,000, according to the MEC.

As of Monday, the MEC did not list filings for District 43 Rep. Rob Roberson, R-Starkville; District 15 Sen. Gary Jackson, R-French Camp; and District 16 Sen. Angela Turner, D-West Point.

Ward 1 Alderman Ben Carver, Ward 6 Alderman Roy A. Perkins and Ward 7 Alderman Henry Vaughn failed to file before the deadline. Perkins and Carver submitted forms Monday, according to the MEC.

County supervisors District 1 Supervisor John Montgomery, District 2 Supervisor Orlando Trainer and District 5 Supervisor Joe Williams had not filed reports as of Monday.

Chancery Clerk Monica Banks, District 1 Justice Court Judge Tony Boykin and Coroner Michael Hunt failed to submit before the May 1 deadline.
