A two-car wreck near the intersection of Highway 182 and Cardinal Lane caused one injury Wednesday, according to Oktibbeha County Fire Services Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan.
“This was a simple rear-ender,” he said. Apparently a woman driving a black Nissan Altima, visible in the picture, had stopped in the westbound lane of 182 to make a left turn, and a man driving a Ford car – also westbound – struck her from behind, Rosenhan said. The impact spun the Altima around, turning it to face down the eastbound lane of the highway. The woman bumped her head, but was wearing a seat belt; she was taken to OCH Regional Medical Center for evaluation, Rosenhan said.
The Adaton Volunteer Fire Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol and OCH paramedics responded to the wreck.
