A shooting Sunday morning resulted in one juvenile having to seek medical attention while authorities investigate the incident.
Lieutenant Brett Watson of the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office told the SDN the call of the shooting came in at around 11 a.m. Sunday morning, and that the victim - a juvenile - was taken to a local hospital to seek medical attention with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
The shooting occurred on Glenn Lane in the Sunset subdivision. The identities of the victim and potential suspect or suspects have not been made public at this time, nor have the details concerning what spurred the incident.
“The last time we checked, the victim was in stable condition, so we are continuing to investigate and more arrests are expected,” Watson said.
No arrests have been announced at this time.
Watson also said no one else was harmed in the shooting and no substantial property damage was reported.
