Mayoral candidate forum Monday at Greensboro Center

The three candidates for Starkville’s highest office will gather for a third and final forum at the Greensboro Center Monday night at 6 p.m.

The event is the second installment of a three part forum series sponsored by the Starkville-Oktibbeha Voter Education Initiative and the Greater Starkville Development Partnership.

Candidates Johnny Moore, Damion Poe and Lynn Spruill have already addressed issues side-by-side at two previous forums hosted by the Starkville Daily News and Delta Upsilon Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, incorporated and Pi Iota Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.

All three candidates are Democrats, with the primary date scheduled for May 2 and a potential run-off date slated for May 16.
