A Clarke County man reported missing Sunday has been found alive in Amite County, about 160 miles west of where he was last seen, according to Warren Strain, public affairs director for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Paul Powe, 73, was last seen about 3 p.m. Sunday in Clarke County, driving a Ford Taurus in the De Soto community. A Silver Alert was issued for him Monday afternoon; relatives said he suffers from a mental condition which could impair his judgment.
By Wednesday afternoon, Powe had been found in Amite County, and was taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to Strain.
