STARKVILLE, MS
Starkville police responded to a suspicious persons report Sunday at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Highway 12 and attempted a traffic stop, only to have the driver flee at a "high rate of speed" through Starkville, SPD officials said.
With the help of the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office, Cortez Robinson, 25, of Starkville was arrested near the Microtel Inn on Highway 182 around 4 miles from where the chase began.
Robinson was charged with failure to stop a vehicle, disorderly conduct, no license or insurance and no headlights. He was also served two warrants for unrelated incidents, according to a SPD news release.
