Police want public help in identifying armed robbers who hit the gas station at 1109 N. Jackson St. about 9 p.m. Sunday.
“One subject entered the store and one subject waited outside,” said Cpl. Brandon Lovelady, public information officer for the Starkville Police Department, in a news release. “The suspect who entered the store is described as a light-skinned person approximately 5 feet 7 inches (tall), wearing a black mask, hoodie, and pants.”
Police released surveillance photos and video of the suspect who came inside. The edited video shows the person walking into the store, stuffing money from the register into a small black backpack with pink or crimson straps, and walking out.
Anyone with information on the incident, or who can help identify the suspects, is asked to call Starkville police at 662-323-4131 or Golden Triangle Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151. Crime Stoppers may offer a cash reward for information leading to arrests.
