Deputies then arrested 28-year-old Pierre Forest for the assault at approximately noon Tuesday. Forest remains in Oktibbeha County Jail.
A Starkville man is behind bars after being charged with domestic violence-aggravated assault on New Year’s Day.
On Tuesday, at 1:10 a.m., Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call at The Links Apartments at 21 Player Lane.
Deputies concluded through investigation that an aggravated domestic assault had occurred. Deputies then arrested 28-year-old Pierre Forest for the assault at approximately noon Tuesday. Forest remains in Oktibbeha County Jail.
His bond has not been set as of Wednesday morning although efforts were being made to set a bond.
The incident remains under investigation.
The female victim sought medical attention following the incident, but the extent of injuries resulting from the assault are not known.
