A Starkville woman with a history of domestic violence was arrested on Christmas Eve after allegedly stabbing another person.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, Starkville Police officers were dispatched to an incident on Sycamore Street. Officers arrested 44-year-old Rachel Forrester Criddle on the charge of domestic violence-aggravated assault.

The victim was flown out of the area for treatment, with OCH Regional Medical Center EMS Director Michael Hunt saying no stabbing victims were treated at OCH that day.

Criddle was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail and was released after posting $10,000 bond.

The incident remains under investigation.

Criddle was arrested for auto burglary on June 23, 2017. She was also served an outstanding warrant for domestic violence-simple assault following the June arrest, which also took place on Sycamore Drive.
