Those in the Mississippi State University community have an additional avenue should they need the use of a vehicle.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car is now offering students, faculty and staff the opportunity to rent a vehicle by the hour through its Enterprise Car- Share program. Three CarShare vehicles have been placed on Lee Boulevard across from the Colvard Student Union. Enterprise is offering 50 percent off the annual membership fee and $25 in driving credits to all new MSU members. The service is currently available on more than 125 university campuses and in several major metro areas. Users must register online with a valid MSU email. Registrants must be at least 18.
The membership fee for students is $50, plus a $25 application fee. Rental fees range from $9-$13 an hour, depending on the vehicle and day of the week.
“Many MSU students and community members don’t have access to a car to take them where they need to go,” said MSU Director of Parking and Transit Services Jeremiah Dumas. “We’re excited to have Enterprise CarShare on campus, allowing anyone who needs to easily rent a car for a few hours to do so.”
