The Starkville Police Department is asking for the community’s help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery that took place at a local gas station early Monday morning.
SPD released a video of the suspect, who brandished a pistol after entering the Sprint Mart at the corner of Academy Road and Louisville Street at about 1 a.m. Monday morning.
The suspect, who is wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves, can be seen forcing one person to the ground at gunpoint and ordering them to stay down.
The suspect then is seen jumping over the counter and pointing a pistol at the store clerk before going through the store’s cash registers.
SPD Public Information Officer Brandon Lovelady said Monday that no one was injured during the robbery.
