How long ago did these children grow up? What became of them – did they stay in Starkville, to become the parents or grandparents of an SDN reader today? Does anyone have this picture in an old family album, or recognize the childhood face of someone they knew as an adult?
We know nothing about the people in this picture, but we hope our readers do. It comes from a scrapbook called “Do You Know Any of These People?” in the Starkville-Oktibbeha County Public Library's Genealogy Department archives, provided by Perian Kerr, genealogy librarian. We hope someone out there can help the library attach a name to this and other pictures. Not a single person told us they recognized the woman and two children sitting on the grass in last week's picture. They will have to remain nameless for now, but perhaps these four can be identified at last.
