Oktibbeha County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Brandon man who sent a substantial amount of text messages and pictures to a woman.

Lt. Brett Watson told the Starkville Daily News that deputies made the arrest of 28-year-old Brian Cocker on Monday on warrants issued by Oktibbeha County Justice Court for cyberstalking.

Watson did not know how many text messages and pictures were sent to the victim, but he said it was a substantial amount to warrant the charge.

Watson said the arrest was the result of a complaint filed by the victim receiving "unwanted" and "undesirable" text messages from Coker.

Watson would not comment if the photos and messages were elicit.

As for relationship to the victim, Watson said they are unaware of any type of relationship.

Coker has since been released from the Oktibbeha County Jail, where his bond was set at $5,000.
