Bench dedicated to 'Super Gabe'

A bench was dedicated in memory of Gabriel "Super Gabe" Valentine on the Sudduth Elementary School playground Tuesday, with Gabe's family in attendance.

From left to right: Alex Baldwyn, half sister, Griffin Valentine, half-brother, Michael Valentine, father and Nell Valentine, mother. Gabe was born with the rare disease Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), losing his battle in June 2017 at the age of eight. Gabe attended Sudduth and Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary Schools. The memorial was funded by local donors and businesses, including Kona Ice, Dairy Queen and The Welding Works.
