Fields set for judicial races

The slate of candidates is now official for the upcoming non-partisan judicial races across Mississippi.

Friday marked the qualifying deadline for candidates to qualify for the following races: Mississippi Supreme Court Justice, Mississippi Court of Appeals Justice, circuit, chancery and county court judges.

The next deadline for qualified candidates in the various judicial races will be June 8 at 5 p.m., when periodic campaign finance reports will be due for both candidates and political committees.

The general election will be Nov. 6.

The ballot will include races for judicial offices, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, county school board members and certain school district trustees.
