*Editor's Note: This story has been corrected to reflect that the categories previously reported as "not observed," related to the inspector not observing the categories, as opposed to the school not observing the categories. We apologize for any misrepresentation.*
Starkville Academy/Valley Foods received a “C” score from the Mississippi Department of Health following a routine inspection last Thursday.
Inspector Charles Mallet reported that school was also found not to be in compliance with proper cold holding temperatures.
With records going back as far as 2008, the most recent inspection marks the first time Starkville Academy received a score lower than an “A.”
Officials from Starkville Academy did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Tuesday.
