The Starkville Board of Aldermen appointed two different aldermen to serve as liaisons on different boards during their meeting on Tuesday night.
Mayor Lynn Spruill made the adjustment to the agenda, noting the board had not filled the liaison roles for the Starkville Housing Authority Board and the Oktibbeha County Library board.
Spruill said she received interest from Ward 7 Alderman Henry Vaughn on serving as the board liaison with the Starkville Housing Authority Board.
She said Ward 2 Alderman Sandra Sistrunk would take over the role as liaison for the Oktibbeha County Library Board.
During the mayor's business portion of the meeting, the motion was made to appoint both aldermen and they were approved with a 6-0 vote. Vaughn was not in the room at the time of the vote.
