Deputies arrested two men for drug trafficking.
After a routine traffic stop deputies arrested 38-year-old Robert McGee, of Kosciusko and 37-year-old Mark Lassiter, of Starkville. Each were charged with one count of trafficking.
Investigator Lt. Brett Watson said the two were pulled over for careless driving on Jeff Peay Road when the drugs were found. Deputies also found cash and two firearms.
Watson said the drugs found were methamphetamine, but would not disclose the amount found in the vehicle.
According to Mississippi code § 41- 29-139 to be charged with trafficking, the amount has to be over 30 grams. McGee and Lassiter had their initial Municipal Court date Wednesday, where bond was set at $100,000.
