The Maben Board of Aldermen approved a request for a new road sign, resolving community complaints at its meeting Tuesday night.
Resident Joann Taylor submitted a request to the board, asking for a street sign to be placed on Roosevelt Street.
The request surfaced after complaints were voiced of vehicles driving through a small section of private land to cut through to another street.
Mayor Larry Pruitt and the board addressed the complaints by approving a dead-end street sign to be placed at the end of Roosevelt Street to hopefully resolve the issue.
"We're putting in the dead-end sign, because that's what the people are wanting," Pruitt said. "There's been a lot of trouble with people passing through there."
The next Board of Aldermen meeting will be April 3 at Maben City Hall.
