Several candidates were mentioned in a list published by the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office on Friday that documented candidates who were late filing campaign finance reports,
Former state Rep. Tyrone Ellis, a Starkville Democrat, and former Ward 2 Alderman and House candidate Lisa Wynn were included among the list of candidates who had not yet filed campaign finance reports.
The deadline to file was Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.
Ellis told the Starkville Daily News he planned to file his termination report on Monday.
Ellis announced his retirement from the state legislature in June, and Wynn finished second in a three-candidate special election race to fill his seat.
