A boil water notice has been issued for Oktibbeha County residents in District 4 and District 5 in the Talking Warrior Water Association.
Talking Warrior Water Association President Joe Williams said the water was shut off Wednesday night and is expected to be running again Thursday afternoon. Once water service is restored, residents will be under a boil water notice until the water is safe to drink.
District 4 Supervisor Bricklee Miller said the water issues were caused by 4-County Electric Power Association hitting a water line on Longview Road while installing power poles.
"There was so much water coming out that we had to shut down the whole system," Williams said.
Williams said the notice will most likely be lifted on Friday.
