STARKVILLE, MS
A Starkville man is in jail and accused of breaking into a local place of worship.
The Starkville Police Department arrested 20-year old Shamar Banks for commercial burglary on Monday, Dec. 4.
SPD responded to an alarm at New Horizons Church on 1010 Victory Lane around 7 p.m. Once officers began investigating the alarm, they arrested Banks.
The initial court date for Banks is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m.
Banks was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail after the arrest.
