A Clinton man was arrested early Monday morning and charged with burglary and aggravated stalking.
Officers with the Starkville Police Department arrested 28-year-old Brenton T. Pace for an incident that occurred in the 200 block of Hartness Street.
Court documents provided to the Starkville Daily News on Wednesday said Pace stalked the female victim for over two weeks by calling over 300 times, sending flowers to the victim's apartment and cursing her out over Instagram messages. Pace is also accused of taking the license plate off of the victim's vehicle and entering her apartment without permission.
Pace was transported to the Oktibbeha County Jail with bond set at $60,000. His initial appearance in Starkville Municipal Court was on Monday.
Aggravated stalking carries a maximum fine of $3,000 and up to five years in prison.
